Welcome to the NFBA

The North Florida Broadband Authority is a government entity, based on Florida Home Rule statutes which allow governments to create a single entity by interlocal agreements. The assets provided from the federal government will not be owned or controlled by commercial interest. It will be a utility-like infrastructure similar to sewer, water, and electrical companies, but focused on Middle Mile broadband. Read More

Our Coverage Area

The NFBA Service Area includes the North Central Florida Rural Area of Critical Economic Concern (RACEC), which is a 14-county area, in addition to Wakulla County. The entire service area is underserved with broadband Internet access. The 14 counties in the North Central Florida RACEC: Baker, Bradford, Columbia, Dixie, Gilchrist, Hamilton, Jefferson, Lafayette, Levy, Madison, Putnam, Suwannee, Taylor, and Union.
